Enquire on WhatsApp View bloomer panties →A bloomer panty sits between a regular panty and a short. The leg is longer than a brief, so it covers the hip and part of the upper thigh, and the waistband sits flat rather than cutting in. People search for the same garment as bloomer panty, panty bloomer, bloomers panty or bloomer underwear for women — all of these describe the boyshort-style cotton bloomer shown below.
Who bloomer panties suit
- Anyone whose thighs rub when walking or standing for long periods.
- Wearing under dresses, skirts, kurtis and loose clothing where a short panty rides up.
- School and college students who need coverage that stays put through a full day.
- Warm weather, where 100% cotton breathes better than blended fabric.
The Mithila bloomer panty range
We manufacture two women's bloomer panty lines in Tiruppur. Both cover product sizes 45–100, so the same style works for girls and for women.
Sofie Bloomer Panty
A boyshort-cut bloomer panty in 100% cotton, available plain or printed. The yarn holds its colour wash after wash. Colours are Black, Navy Blue, Peacock Green, Olive Green, Airforce, Coffee, Maroon and Mustard.
Everfine Bloomer Panty
The same comfortable shape in a lighter cotton at a lower price point, in Beige, Blue, Green, Pink and Yellow. Useful when you need volume at a value price without dropping to a synthetic blend.
Bloomer panty sizes: the full chart
Our sizing runs by number rather than S/M/L, and the number is simply the waist measurement in centimetres. Size 85 means an 85 cm waist, about 33.5 inches. Sizes 45–100 cover both bloomer panty lines, which is why the same style fits a small child and an adult. Women's cotton panties in the shorter Reeze and Sofie Panty cuts run 80–100.
| Size | Waist (cm) | Waist (inches) | Usually suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| 45 | 45 cm | 17.7 in | 1–2 years |
| 50 | 50 cm | 19.7 in | 2–3 years |

| 60 | 60 cm | 23.6 in | 5–6 years |
| 65 | 65 cm | 25.6 in | 7–8 years |
| 70 | 70 cm | 27.6 in | 8–9 years |
| 75 | 75 cm | 29.5 in | 9–10 years |
| 80 | 80 cm | 31.5 in | 11–12 years, small adult |
| 85 | 85 cm | 33.5 in | Adult |
| 90 | 90 cm | 35.4 in | Adult |
| 95 | 95 cm | 37.4 in | Adult |
| 100 | 100 cm | 39.4 in | Adult |
Measure around the natural waist, keep the tape level, and round up to the next number ending in 0 or 5 — 82 cm becomes size 85. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one; a waistband that has to stretch to fit rolls down and loses its elastic first. There is more detail, including how to measure without a tape, on our size guide.
What to check before you buy
- Fabric: 100% cotton breathes; blends trap heat and moisture.
- Waistband: it should sit flat and not roll when you sit down.
- Leg length: long enough to stop riding up, short enough to stay hidden under your usual clothing.
- Seams: flat seams at the inner thigh, where rubbing usually starts.
- Colour fastness: ask how the garment is dyed if you are buying in bulk.
Bloomer panty or regular panty?
Choose a bloomer panty when you want coverage on the hip and thigh. Choose a shorter panty when you want a lower line under fitted clothes. Neither is better as a rule — it depends on what you wear over it. There is a fuller comparison in our guide on the difference between bloomers and panties, which also covers how a boyshort differs from a bloomer.
