Sizes are printed, not stickered — so a repeat order matches the first.

Sizes are numbered by waist measurement in centimetres, which is the standard across Indian innerwear: size 85 is an 85 cm waist. The same numbering runs from children's sizes to adult, so a shop can stock one shape across the full age range. The complete chart is on our size guide.

Minimum order quantities and pack configuration depend on the range and the size mix. Send us what you need and we confirm both with the quotation.

Why source from Tiruppur

Tiruppur — also spelled Tirupur, and the same city either way — is India's knitted-cotton cluster. Yarn, knitting, dyeing, compacting, cutting, stitching, printing and packing all happen within one city, often within a few kilometres of each other. For a buyer that has three practical consequences:

  • Short sampling cycles. A change to a colour or a size does not have to travel between states.
  • Cotton specialism. The cluster is built around knitted cotton rather than woven fabric, which is exactly the category innerwear sits in.
  • Both ends of the market in one place. Export-focused units and domestic units work side by side, so quality levels vary widely — which makes checking who you are actually dealing with more important here, not less.

One vocabulary note: locally, banian means a vest, and "banian manufacturers" is often used loosely for the whole knitwear trade. We make bloomers, panties and children's innerwear rather than vests — worth knowing before you send an enquiry to the wrong kind of unit.

Manufacturer, trader or agent — knowing which

Three kinds of supplier answer the same search, and they are not interchangeable:

WhoWhat they controlWhat that means for you
ManufacturerFabric, dyeing, stitching, packingCan change a spec, fix a fit problem, and quote without a margin in between
TraderStock they have boughtFast for what is in hand; cannot alter anything or guarantee the next lot matches
AgentIntroductionsUseful for access, adds a commission, and you still need to verify the unit behind them

The question that separates them takes one line: do you make this in your own unit? A manufacturer answers immediately and can tell you the fabric. We are a manufacturer — that is why our guide to innerwear brands and manufacturers in Tiruppur lists the other names buyers search for rather than pretending we are the only one.

How to buy from us

  1. Send the requirement. Products, sizes, quantities, your city and business type.
  2. We quote. Current trade rates, minimum quantity, pack configuration and lead time for that specific mix.
  3. Samples, if you want them. Standard for a first order with a new buyer.
  4. Confirm the order with the final size mix and colours.
  5. Production and dispatch. We confirm the timeline when the order is placed, not before.

Rates are quoted rather than published, because they move with cotton and yarn costs, the size mix, packing and quantity. An old price left on a website is worse than no price: it is wrong by the time anyone reads it. Current rates are quoted the same day for most enquiries — see wholesale innerwear prices for the enquiry form.

What to send in a first enquiry

An enquiry with these six things gets a quotation the same day. Without them it turns into three rounds of questions:

  • Business type — retail shop, wholesaler, distributor, institutional buyer
  • City and state
  • Which ranges, or the shapes you sell most of
  • Approximate quantity, and whether it is a trial or a regular requirement
  • Size mix, if you know it — this is the single most useful line in any enquiry
  • Colours or prints your customers actually ask for

Questions worth asking any supplier

Ours included. A supplier who answers all six is worth working with; one who dodges the first is worth walking away from:

  • Do you manufacture this in your own unit?
  • Is it 100% cotton, and what is the fabric weight?
  • Is the size printed on the garment, in what system?
  • What is the minimum order, and does it change by size?
  • How is it packed, and how many pieces per carton?
  • What happens if a lot arrives with a colour or sizing mismatch?

Ask for a sample and wash it three times before committing to a large order. Colour loss and elastic recovery both show up by the third wash, and no specification sheet substitutes for that.

Trade guides

Common questions

Are you a manufacturer or a trader?

A manufacturer. We knit, dye, cut, stitch and pack in Ammapalayam, Tiruppur, and sell direct to the trade.

Do you supply outside Tamil Nadu?

Yes — we supply retailers, wholesalers and distributors across India. Send your city with the enquiry and we will tell you how goods move to you.

What is the minimum order?

It depends on the range and the size mix. Send the requirement and we confirm the minimum with the quotation.

Why are prices not published?

Because they move with yarn cost, size mix, packing and quantity. We would rather quote you a current rate than leave a stale one online.

Can I get samples before ordering?

Yes. Samples are standard for a first order with a new buyer.

Do you make vests or banians?

No. We make bloomers, cotton panties and children's innerwear. If you need vests, you want a different kind of unit in the same cluster.
